Got into a bidding war for this one a couple weeks back, but forced myself to back down when the price topped $20--that's my limit for ancients I know little or nothing about.

What's your take on it? Genuine or fake? I know that genuine coins tend to go for ~$80-120, but the fact that the price did not jump over $50 in the final moments was a big red flag. If it is a fake, how can you tell?

The coin appear to be real but the silver has become brittle. The price isn't I think you made a wise decision not to buy it.

Looks real enough to me, just in poor shape.

You can find a nicer one for not much more with enough time.

I agree: genuine...but it has seen better days.
