I agree, a lot of wear there for Uncirculated! Maybe "NNC" was having a bad day.

The buyer of coins from "centsles" is most certainly senseless.

This seller is well known here. He certifies his own stuff and says his warranty is void if you open the capsule. His grades are extremely exaggerated and attributions typically wrong. Do not buy from him.

How do such sellers sleep at night?

Quote: How do such sellers sleep at night? Under the bed with a flashlight in one hand and the pile of their coin under the other on the look out for police?

52 negatives in the last 12 months. Admittedly there were a lot of positives too.

But he keeps selling, and people keep buying.

NNC is real grading service. not too many people are familiar with them. they are reputable ENOUGH not to call this Morgan MS-68 when in fact we all know this slabbed coin is well circulated. I personally would not buy anything from them. but something really went wrong with the grading of this coin.

If you consider that a "real grading service" you are in the minority of the numismatic world. Also, it's a sad situation where ebay allows pictures of numeric grades but you can't type them into the description. A long standing policy that should be changed.

ebay doesn't allow it, you are supposed to mask the numeric grade from the picture. But except at random intervals where they beat down on random sellers, the policy is not enforced.

Take out the part between the commas and we're left with, " ebay doesn't allow it the policy is not enforced". That's allowing it. It happens all the time and I've never seen any repercussions for anyone who does it. There are minor offenders who might occasionally post a pic of a 2x2 with a number on it and then there's big ebay Power Sellers who do it all the time. Of course that leaves the sellers who do it now and then to aid sales. All do it to deceive unsuspecting buyers

I almost purchased a coin off of centsles a few months ago. There was like 12 hours left when I thought of looking up the seller and grading company. Didn't like what I saw and backed out. Results from just this forum alone. https://www.google.ca/search?q=cent...ommunity.com

I don't see a real problem. Those scratches on the face are not worn so even those scratches could be graded as Uncirculated.
