Do you have speed problems when posting? Does it take some time between clicking the Post New Topic button and getting the confirmation message?
Please let me know.
Thx for your cooperation.

National Dealer was having problems with the time it took between clicking "Post" and the page reloading. This was yesterday. He said that one took 7 minutes and the other took 4 minutes.

Yeah, I wanted to rule out subscriptions as an issue. The email components are a bit slow, but that should only show when posting. I have now changed the email component in use, but I'd really like to know if anyone else experienced slowdowns when posting.

Yes. Often enough, I'll click the "Post New Reply" button and it will justy sit there, so I'll copy my response in the instance it drops off. Just now, I had gone to the Reply To Topic frame which loaded quickly, but then decided I wanted include a quote, so I clicked back up on "Speed..." above, and it hung up for maybe a minute before going back to the topic. This would indicate to me that there's a situation with the frame. No delay going back to this "Reply To Topic" frame, but will copy to clipboard this text before posting. Fred

Thx for the info. This behavior has occurred in the last 2 or 3 days or is it older?

Seems to come and go over a period of a couple weeks. I noticed it again a couple/three days ago. It almost seems like there's an incompatibility between the forum's html and the server's software (if it's Windows-based, I wouldn't be surprised) periodically causing an infinite loop. Fred

This last (my two above) post and the previous post in which I thought there might be problems did not have any delay.

Forum uses ASP, ASP is a Microsoft technology, Windows platforms are the best for it. The problem is that some other web app in the server may be behaving badly. We're trying to figure out which, have done some changes, I haven't experienced any difficulties since the latest tweakings. In fact, the forum has been quite fast since then, no script timeouts.

Some of the pages have been loading so fast for me today that the header section never leaves the screen (at least to the naked eye) when the new page loads.
