Came in the mail today. 7 mint boxes each containing 2 Rolls (P&D) of 2005 Westward Journey Buffalo nickels. $28.00 face value. Paid $19.99 including shipping for coins I was looking to pick up more of anyways.

Within the last five minutes of the auction I sat there waiting for somebody to outbid me... and it didn't happen. I think the problem was that a lot of people list one box of these coins but have a picture of all the boxes they are selling. The title said 7, but the listing wasn't very clear. I think that could be why I was the only bidder (2 bids, both me).

Very happy camper either way.

Weird how or why anyone would sell for less than face value.

They were likely hoping for bids to run up. Sometimes you win and sometimes you lose. This time the buyer won and the seller kept his end of the bargain. While the seller may have lost money he gets a good review and good vibes.

Nice eye to find that auction, going for less than face even after shipping that heavy lot. Good too that the lister didn't pull a "Oh, I can't seem to find it" ploy. Well worthy of positive feedback.

I once saw an ebay listing several years ago with fifty rolls of these for a BIN for $100.00. I think that the shipping was even included. I sent the seller a message that they had an error in the listing. They sent back a message and said to buy them if I wanted them. I bought them immediately. Not sure of what their story was. Still Lookin.

I feel that anything less than $5 a roll with shipping is a good deal on these as they are only going to become more scarce as time goes on. I have picked up a few sets over the past 6 months and every once in a while I have found them for $2-$4 a roll (if I buy 6 or more rolls) but never a deal this good.

My fiance was baffled? Why wouldn't they just take them to the bank? Well they didn't think they would sell for less than face value for one, and thankfully the rolls weren't broken up either.

Seller Shipped in a flat rate box very fast, arrived within days, and I left great feedback obviously, but I don't think they will list for less than face value again. The rest of their rolls are listed for more.
