The Mint leads a large field of international competitors after receiving nominations in the following Coin of the Year categories, with multiple nominations in some cases: Best Historical Coin; Best Contemporary Coin; Best Gold Coin; Best Silver Coin; Best Crown Coin; Best Circulating Coin; Best Bi-Metallic Coin; Most Innovative Coin; and Most Inspirational Coin. The judging is conducted by an international panel of the world's leading mint officials, medalists, journalists, central bank and museum officials. Are these people blind? People from RCM presented digital image of the coin to the jury But in 2014 from circulation we had Lucky Loony and "Wait for me, Daddy".
