Best we split this into its own topic, move it to a more appropriate forum, and let the dead rest in peace.

to the Community, raiade! Please keep your request to one topic.

I've shipped ancient coins to Europe and depending on the country I either had no problem or it was a nightmare. Your best bet is to do a google search on the postal laws related to importing artifacts to the country you intend to send to.

I can't help much except to say one thing: always send anything of value with a tracking number. An Indonesian blogger I read once sent a couple of older notes from one city to another without a tracking number. They were never found, so he always mails them tracked now.

Or maybe use a courier, even though I've never used the Indonesian mail system, I've heard that it can be notoriously slow.

Hello, thank you all for the reply. I just joined the community, hope I'm adjusting well to the forum rules and etc. As for the postal laws, it does say that "coin is prohibited" to Indonesia. But I'm not sure if it includes ancient coins, or it would only mean coins that is still acting as legal tenders. True, if I'm shipping it I would best put all the protection available on it, such as insurance, tracking, etc. But is shipping the best recommendation, or it would be safer to bring it as a hand carry/in plane luggage? Thanks again for the informative reply. Really appreciate it.

Ancient coins would fall under the category of antiquities or artifacts. I would do as much checking as you can as to the laws regarding the import of artifacts into the the country you are going to before you make any attempt to carry them in.
