Thanks Yinzi. Most of my LWC finds date somewhere between 1977 and 1982. Until 3 years ago I had no real idea of how many great finds my brother and I had. I tell him all the time that it was a smart thing for us to search coins back then. We did cents, nickels, and dimes. We found great stuff! For cents though we got $50 bags of loose cents. The others were CWRs. I think I have 4 or 5 Barber dimes we snagged back in the day too. And a silver dump of Washington quarters. Lots of roll finds back in the day. That said it's great fun still here in the present. It makes me realize the importance of CRH in the present when I look back. What will we be saying 30 years from now? I think our YNs here will undoubtedly experience a similar ah ha moment.

I don't think you all were thinking you would see on of these, but I did receive this from one of my pick up banks, along with some other gems you will be seeing as the dates go farther.

Wow!

Was that turned in as a quarter, or did the teller save it because it wouldn't fit with the other cents?

I ended up having another 1911D LWC, but it was heavily worn and looked like a 1910D (but impossible). I pickled it to see if I could lift the last digit and it looked to be a 1 that took a hit prior to being worn in. It was a very worn cent so worth the shot of finding out what it was.

Nice Yinzi. I checked my Barber dimes. Only two: 1912 and 1914.

A terrible photo, but this is my 1911 Barber dime in my Dansco 7070. Found in a roll back in the early 1990's.

my Large cent was turned into the bank with a bag of old coins, the teller on duty know I collect so she saved them for me, I paid 1 cent for that one.

My two were found in the early 80s or maybe late 70s. I don't frequent the dime CRH forum but I imagine with siver hoarding that finding them now is akin to finding an IHC.
