EugeneZ New Member United States 4 Posts	Posted 11/08/2015 10:20 am Surprisingly enough it does indeed originate from Moon. Lunar meteorites are defined as material ejected from the Moon by impacts and later falling to the Earth as meteorites. I am not going to profess I know how these are determined to be lunar, but there are a lot of smart people out there who do this type of forensics on the fallen rocks. There are lots of meteorites known as lunar.
