There is a "Large Letter" and "Small Letter" types in 1858. There is an 8/7 RPD for the LL and a DDR for the SL.

Strike that; I'm trying to do too many things at once. There is no 58 FE DDO listed.

My apologies.

Hehe. Rick Snow's FE guide is at home. Time to do some reading after work.
Nice FEs.

Did you mean an 1857? That's what I see in your images.
As for a DDO, I can't tell from your pics, but the attribution guides might show the markers.

Regarding LL 1858 DDOs, Rick Snow lists 8 different varieties, including one that is a 58/7 overdate (Snow-7)
For 1857, I see 9 DDO varieties at his wiki resource.

Yes, I meant the 57 DDO...sorry for the confusion...the pics are right; my subject title and posts were wrong. I can see what looks like Machine Doubling on the letters and something unusual on the date.

Where do you see something unusual on the date of your coin? I see what might be a die crack running through the 1, and perhaps something in the lower loop of the 8.

As a comparison, here's a date taken from a 57 I own. I see some weird stuff on the 8,5, and 7.

There higher ridges that rise from the numbers on the dates....look closely at the tops of the 8, 5, and 7...and if you can see it, there is machine doubling(?) on the letters.
