Why do people say that a D mint mark Ike dollar is silver? Because of those people I can't make a sell on ebay or am I missing something?

I am right there with you. They call it silver probably to confuse unknowing buyers or the sellers themselves are just unaware and call it silver because it looks grey. One or the other in my opinion.

The seller has no idea that silver Ikes only have an S mint mark and were sold in special packaging (Brown boxes and blue pack)
