The character in the middle looks a lot like an Om, but the details just aren't right. See:

From my understanding, temple tokens are little more than tourist items with some religious significance; very few are valuable beyond a couple dollars. I would not suspect your token to be a counterfeit, but perhaps from a less literate region?
