According to my LCS, his wholesalers are paying 14.5x right now... I've been buying from him for past 6-8 months and the lowest he's been was 13x once or twice and highest has been 16x.. He also said he just sold a ton of cull Morgan's to them for close to $20 each and $100's of FV junk .. I've bought culls from him as low as $16. He says the wholesalers dictate his silver prices. I haven't known him that long, but I trust what he tells me.

I'm in the northeast as well, so maybe similar market conditions?

Good luck finding the cheap silver!! You definitely get more bang for your buck if you buy rounds vs junk

ClS12 I haven't even ask if the dollars are also at 15x face value . I would guess not . Why are rounds a better buy ? I picked up a few from 20 to 22 each also I don't know if this is the correct prices for them .

$1 FV x 15 = $15 for 0.715 oz of silver
1 oz silver round could likely be found for closer to $17 online, so you'd accumulate quantity faster.

Being in nyc maybe you'd have better luck buying 90% silver from jewelers or pawn shops...

CLS I've tried some pawn shops and some other places they all tell me that that buy junk for melt . The best coin shop I found 15X and there is a antique medals and coin that's 18x . They both have there up side and down side to them . I don't think I even scratched the surface as far as the jewlers and pawn shops . I can't find enough time to go to everyone and ask them about it . That's way I was hoping someone had done the leg work.

$1 - $99 face for a hair over 14 x face, cash. Orders over $100 free shipping. Already gave name of vendor but once again, Provident Metals. Easy as swinging by the Post Office, if you're never home.

Thanks fistfullofdirt that sounds like a great back up plan bug for x15 face value I can pick out what I want in person . I was told that x15 was high but maybe it's not because a lot of the responses I've been getting is in a range from 14 to 16 x

I was in the city February and there was a tiny little shop on W47th st. I don't remember the name of the place, but it was right by one of the mega jewelry stores. The prices were fair and paying with cash made them better.

This is partly to the OP and partly a question to everyone else. I just saw ebay auction #252157225795 (not sure if I can post link?), Looks like its for 13X, that's a fair deal for mostly cull-ish SLQ, right? Assuming its legit and all.

WheatHunter. Not a bad auction, but they are cull. Link worked fine by the way.

@ Rookiecards. Since you said you are in NJ and work in NYC I am assuming you are in the northern NJ area. There are a plethora of shops around in NJ. Clifton there is a big one on main street. know your stuff though because Jeff can be a bit slippery sometimes. Rockaway there is another good one and there are a few smaller shops ive seen around town.
