I usually stick to selling in Canada and USA only because I dont want to deal with the problems that come with international selling.
But recently I sent something to a customer in the UK by oversize lettermail and he got it in 3 days!
So I thought id get international NCLT sales a try.
Can you guys give me a list of countries that fit my criteria: 1) Will mainly deal with low value <$50 items sent in oversize lettermail 2) Less than 2 weeks shipping time 3) No reputation of "lost packages"
Is this even possible? Any countries fit this criteria?
MODs please keep this in the Canadiam section as I only want the experiences of Canadians and Canada Post :D

I too have been successful sending things to the UK by mail. In fact, the smaller the package, the quicker it seems to get there. I've also had Good Luck to Australia and New Zealand.

Switzerland is usually also dealing without problems when sending small packages or letters with value below 50 dollars....

Well, that's a VERY good question. I've been selling mostly Canadian Coins on ebay for quite a while now and over the years I've often changed my listings to allow, or deny foreign buyers to purchase my coins. In the end, the risks (fraud, shipping issues, charge backs, returns, bad feedback, ...) aren't worth it. One buyer thought he bought a gold coin because it had yellowish oxidation. Lack of buyer's knowledge leads to trouble. So I'm selling only to US/Canada now. If I were selling foreign coins then I suppose this would be a different matter. My experience is a tiny sample so please take this with a grain of salt. I don't run a business selling coins and this is my own money so my adversity to risk is very high...

I have recently sold to Ukraine, Italy and Turkey, it took a bit longer and I was a bit nervous after a 3 weeks and buyer had not received item, but they eventually did and all went well. I have a limited small sample of overseas selling, but have yet to have a problem.
Interestingly enough, I have only ever had problems in Canada.

Quote: I have recently sold to Ukraine This was very brave :) The buyers are reliable and honest, they just want normally to buy an item and have it delivered. But with all happens there, I would think, that every parcel gets opened at the customs, and any valuables (specially small sized) got stolen. I have small experience sending coin and Disney small stuff to Germany and UK - everything was perfect.

I have purchased two coins at different times from a seller in Ukraine and all went well. I was a bit nervous the first time but I really wanted the coin so I took a chance since I figured Paypal would protect me if something went wrong.

I have good luck with receiving coins from many countries. I tried sending a $35 set of coins to Spain, but they never arrived, or so the receiver said. The frustrating thing is there is no way to know for sure if it was "lost" in the mail or if the receiver simply lied about never receiving it.
I have a 2012 French 200 Euro gold coin I would love to be able to send to France. It has a high face value, and is legal tender in France, but contains only 4G of gold. The coin sells at a premium to face over there, but I am unwilling to risk sending it.
