There are a lot of British coins in Canada, but it takes a bit of work to find good British coins. I don't usually buy older British stuff because I'm intimidated by those tough grading standards and high prices, but sometimes I do come across something that I find attractive...

I picked this up at the Edmonton Coin Show, the largest show in this particular colony; there were about 4 cartwheel 2ds that I saw there, and this one had the advantage of being cheaper AND nicer than the other 3. I paid C$120 for it - because of our slippery exchange rate, that's only £60

Nothing wrong with that.
A nice handsome coin.
Ignore Spink prices.

I love these giant lumps of metal lol
I have one genuine one that I've had about 20 yrs and just bought myself a Chinese copy.

3 errors that seem obvious to me are:

Legends protrude rather than inset.
Shield is completely wrong (taken from a different coin, is it a farthing or penny design? I have seen it before.)
Alignment wrong.

I love old British coins, but cartwheel pence are a bit elusive.
