The seller does not mention the clip. I think it looks genuine. At 5 bucks, 3 dollar shipping, ending in 2 hours, 0 bidders. Do I bite?

no the obverse looks wierd and they don't clip like that. When I say they I mean the mint

Does not look right, the mouth and eyes tell me it is not what it appears to be.

90% chance it's genuine, IMO. The wear and poor pics make it tough to tell though.

I would bet money that it is real, the small clip shows proper tapering. I believe the coin is real too, just badly cleaned. The reverse planchet flaw also helps me beleive the coin itself is authentic. The clip was small to begin with and when struck it almost definitely changed shape a bit which would explain why the radius is wrong.
