Been working on this collection since I got the idea about 6 months ago. Debated many different ways to display them. 2 V nickels, 4 Buffalo, and the rest are Roosevelt. 13 Proofs, and the rest are from circulation for now and I will switch them out as I go. I still have to build a display case for them but finally have all the coins needed and they are all encased. None of the coins are worth more than a few dollars max. More of a display piece for my basement sports bar once completed. Red Sox 8, Bruins 6, Patriots 4, Celtics 17, Whitecaps (Ultimate) 2

I'd do that for Chicago but it wouldn't take too long...

Ouch. To be fair... Six Stanley Cups. Six NBA championships. Five World Series titles (two Cubs, three Sox). Eight NFL championships (not counting two from Chicago Cardinals). One Super Bowl. 26 nickels is not a bad set.

Fantastic!
I have to continually remind my children to enjoy this era of Boston sports. They look at me like I have two heads when I tell them that of the Celts, Pats, Bruins & Sox, the Pats were far and away the worst of the bunch for most of my life.

Looks good Mayflower
On a side note, I did this for my favorite NFL team, the Cincinnati Bengals for each time they won the Super Bowl.
Was pretty easy to complete :)

Thanks everybody for your comments. I also have extra holders ready so that it can hopefully (fingers crossed) it can be a growing collection over the years. I will update the post once I build the display case and am leaving open slots to fill in later. Another winter project I added to my list.

If that's a Patriots joke, then it's the 2014 nickel. The 2015 is the Boston Whitecaps.

There's a new game out (Fallout 4) that takes place in Boston in the year 2277. They flew drones over the city & mapped it out prior to developing the game. I don't know if your into video games or not, but it's interesting seeing monuments from real life in a 3D interactive environment. Fenway park, The Old Statehouse, The Old North Church, The Granary burying ground, Bunker Hill, Mass. State House, Walden Pond, USS Constitution & many other locations are portrayed. Nice set by the way.

I am not but I have seen some video of it. Very cool looking at the city from the POV of a distopian future. When I lived in Los Angeles my roommate had a racing game that let you drive around Los Angeles. All the highways, roads and tunnels were there, but the buildings were just slightly different to avoid being sued. (and there was a lot less traffic.)
