Hello there, I am new at this numismatic thing and wish to apologize in advance for my ignorance in the terminology and photo quality in this post. Fact is it took all day for me to get this post done, so here it is...

On the obverse; her eye has a reptile look to it and I was thinking a possible double deye ? Also the neck has some lines in it and a blob looking mark. Is that a cracked die or damage? Also the W in WE looks distorted.

The reverse; possible doubling on the first L and the R in DOLLAR. The eagle's beak looks strange too, kind of looks like a parrot. is anyone familiar with these errors if they are errors? It would be very much appreciated if someone could educate me on this coin. Thank you !!

to CCF!

First things first, in terms of terminology, it's called a "doubled die" and not a "double deye", or what I suppose you meant to say was "doubled eye".

The eye area appears to have taken a hit from being in circulation. So does the neck, the neck appears to have some vertical scratches going on. Beak looks fine to me.

Honestly all you have is just a normal 1922 Peace dollar. Nothing special.

Thank you for your reply. I appreciate all the knowledge that is shared here. As far as the double die is concerned the "Doubled deye" part of my post was just my sad attempt at a numismatic pun. hence the smiley face. I did do some homework prior to posting.

THank you again
