My brother has an opportunity to purchase a few of these.

ebay prices seem low. I figure the value at bullion + 15%


anyone familiar with these?

They are .4430 oz Gold in weight.

Is $435 a good price?

Well, it depends what are you going to do with them. 4 ducat with 1915 date are modern restrikes which are normally sold at bullion value. With the current price of USD 890 per ounce the coins prices are about 10% premium. I consider this to be quite OK if you would like to make long-term investment and beleive that price of gold would grow faster then the interest rate.
