Hello,

A local coin house has this rhode island ship token up for sale. I was wondering what you think about the grade (does it make a details grade?) and what you think would be a fair price for this coin.

Thanks in advance!

It is the variety with no wreath below ship. Probably brass rather than copper. I would grade VF but with apparent partial corrosion and verdigris. I would value at about $500-750 depending on how severe the surface damage is. An acetone bath would certainly help.

@germanicus In my mind I thought I already replied to this topic, sorry.

The starting price for this coin at the auctionhouse was approximately $675 (includig all fees), so I passed. The coin was eventually not sold so its still for sale at the starting price
