Numerian Antonianus

Finally got around to attributing this one from an unidentified lot, and wanted to share:

Numerian was one in a lengthy list of underwhelming Crisis-era emperors, spending most of his short tenure campaigning in the East with his father, Carus while his brother Carinus kept order in the West. He was elevated to co-Augustus along with Carinus when his father died in the summer of 283. Numerian never visited Rome during his tenure as Augustus, and himself died just over a year after his father, presumably from a plague. Diocletian assumed the title of Augustus in 284, and executed Numerian's bodyguard, Aper, on the accusation that Numerian was poisoned.

This particular variety is apparently rated as Rare, although I couldn't find much more info than that.
