A nice circulated Type 2 quarter, this 1920-S has some toning, but not so much that it overpowers the coin. These are tricky to grade, because the date wears so much faster than the rest of the coin. It's far from a gem, but I didn't have a 1920-S, so this is a good start.

PCGS holder. How would you grade this one?

I also ran one through Photoshop and tweaked the contrast/brightness trying to see more detail:

I was thinking more like VF-35. Only because of the worn out date.

Give yourself a gold star or two if you said VF-35. Nice solid midgrade coin, affordable hole filler.

PCGS VF-35 it is!
