I have recently completed an Indian Head cent date set in F to XF, and have been wondering if I should now begin to upgrade my key dates OR pursue some of the better varieties (eg. 69-SN3, 65-SN2, 94-SN1, etc....)

Any thoughts ?

Congratulations! I would try to upgrade the key dates if at all possibe, but that may be quite pricey. I'm constantly upgrading my mecury dime set, mostly just trying to upgrade the semi keys and trying to find good deals on MS examples of the more common earlier dates. Any upgrade of any coin in the collection is always a good feeling.

Personally, I'd find it more rewarding to get some nice die varieties than spending an extra ~$1000 to upgrade a '77 from F-12 to EF-40. But that's just me
