Just checked Strike it Rich: 89 with 88 reverse, but they don't list the 89D having RDV005.

Thanks, but what it the Strike it Rich - are you allowed to tell me?

I have quite a list going of websites I have open when I am going through my coins for errors and the varieties - John1 gave me a new site today for some of the varieties but I was hoping for a more compiled list especially for the varieties.

I use the LincolnCent website a lot - but it doesn't have every thing and very limited on pictures.

Thanks so much
Sandy

On the last image posted, it is a RDV-005. Note the top of the "G" extends farther east than the 006. The 006 dies were started to be put into use in late 1988, instead of starting to be used in 1989.

So if you do find a 1988 with a RDV-006, they are usually fresh die examples. So it the die is showing heavy die wear, then it is probably just a RDV-005.

You can post it here. That way all can see what you have. It is always a learning experience here. All benefit from discussions here and they are kept for future searches. So post you image in a new thread and label it Date-Mint Mark and what you feel it is. That way future searchers can search and find your thread.

Not to rain on the parade but Dr James Wiles from Variety Vista web site debunked any 1989 RDV-005 many years ago.
It was tough enough to convince him to look at the first one I discovered about 10 years ago. Most people shot it down as it doesn't exists and now its in the Cherrypickers book. Cherrypickers book is sorta wrong claming it was a proof reverse which I believe the mint just ran out RDV-005 dies and grabbed next years dies instead.

Thanks for the follow-up on my post. That link is very helpful.

So is yours attributed now after all this time? Did you keep it?
