The O'Canada set is sold out at the mint according to Trends. I immediately went out and bought two. My dilemma after having bought a 2011 birth set and gave it away for a birth (wish I'd bought a few more). Back to O'Canada sets I know where to get a half dozen more, so does sold out at the mint usually mean good after market value.

Definitely not, I can buy most the older sets for half price later on. I got the 2013 2014 for 10 bucks each.....

but the "Baby sets" (like you mentioned for 2011) , or Welcome to the World silver coin have a potential to be a sought after.

Also the 2012 Uncirculated Coin set, the last one with the Penny and Old-Style Loonie + Toonie might be a keeper.

Added:
As I remember, the 2011 was the last year, that all the Gift sets contained all 7 coins.
In the 2012 the 50 cents piece has been removed from the "gift sets" and remained only in Uncirculated set.
After 2012, the Gift sets contain only 5 coins (imo - very "poor" item), and Uncirculated set has 6 coins in it.

Gotcha, thanks for the input. Not really into NCLT, and was somehow under the illusion that sold out at the mint could translate into after market profits.

But you always can keep couple, just for special Looney (since 2014), although its will not be a rare.
