Just got back a submission of 10 coins. Was happy with 6-7 of the grades, but two of them were resubmissions of old photograde Morgans, both of which were graded 65/65, and they both came back MS64 I thought the older photograde coins were supposed to be decent. Both looked 65 to me and one was even PL and looked frosty cameo.

ANACS is very conservative but consistent based on my last 4 submissions of over a hundred coins.

ANACS has been all over the map in their long years in the hobby, with absolutely no dependable history for consistent and reliable grading.

Their slabs are deservedly not accepted by many major auction houses.

Sending yor coins to ANACS may give you peace of mind, but it is a waste of money.

Its just like all the other generations, they are winners and losers in every group. Just being an older version doesn't assure an upgrade or even the same grade.

The source will matter too. If its from a big seller, it like would have submitted if they thought it would upgrade. Some holders that have huge premiums will be left alone either way as will pretty much anything with a Gold CAC sticker generally speaking.

I was surprised at how conservative the batches I sent in were graded

The batch of 15 coins I submitted during the ANACS fall special were extremely conservatively graded. So much so that I'm cracking out a couple I do not agree with to send in to NGC.

Yeah, looks like they're not going to do anyone a big solid during the grading specials. I've already cracked out 3 of mine. Will probably resubmit the PL to PCGS at some point.
