Interestingly--or perhaps not--the machine next to it that sells sandwiches gave me a 1979-S SBA for change tonight when I used a $5 note to buy a mini-pizza. I received another '79-S from the same machine last week. Those go in the box with all the other S-mint coins I pull from circulation. Quite often, that same vending machine will dole out BU Presidential dollars in change. I always use $5 notes to buy things from it. Report this Post to the Staff

Sometimes, I scratch my head regarding the alloy used for American Golden Dollars and the Canadian Loonie.
