Fioti, was that a die crack or a lamination error on that 1962?

I was feeling lucky after finding a 64-d roosie and a 43-p 35%er in a coinstar today so I decided to go though 5 rolls of nickles I had. Found a 44-S 35%er that was also a hole filler!

Rachums, That is one of the nicest roll find I've ever seen. I'd say best nickel find. It's tough to find 193x buff's in that good of condition.

Fellow Nickel Hunters, I have some wonderful news to report. Friday night, I finally found the elusive 1950D. This is my first time to get online since finding it, and I'm not at home. I'll try to get a pick. I'm definitely not a grader but would guess it to be xf ish. After excitement, my next thought was how I claimed I was going to quite nick's after finding the 50D. Now I'm not so sure....lol.

Photos of that fake 1950 D I mentioned a few pages ago. Sorry it took so long. Detoured by the storm. Nothing terrible happened, just a long slog without power and then some clean up after. Finding this example where I had it buried was one of the benefits of the clean up.

Looks like a 59 that someone cut the bottom of the 9 to make it look like a 50

I agree, this is an altered or otherwise damaged 1959.

murphy. it's a lam. Couldn't see it looking straight-on, so I'm tipping the rolls at an angle now. No telling how many I've probably missed.

Normally I just do dimes, but today I decided to do something different so I got a box of nickels. I got: 1945-D It was fun to look at the date on each coin rather than just checking the rims for silver, I might do another nickel box sometime soon.

Nice job finding those 1943 silver nickels, justin3651! I tried a few rolls and still haven't found any silver, and you found 3! Also, good job finding that Buffalo nickel!
