Sometimes talking about things brings about change - nice finds! I'm hoping this box has one or both of the nickels I need yet. Or better yet, a 1913 V nickel (hey - wishing real big for a change).

OK, I haven't found the 1913 V nickel I was hoping for, but this just popped out from the 3rd to last roll in a box -

I'm now down to the 1939D to complete the album with 2.5 rolls to go (for this box anyway).

At least you already found the 50d that was the last one I needed and it took forever to find but was so rewarding when I finally found it. Also congrats on the 43d that's a tough one to. now that I finished the Jefferson folders I don't know what ones to start next

Thanks folks - an interesting box this time. There were fewer pre 60s nickels, but what we lacked in quantity we made up for with quality. Here are the numbers -

10/5 Results

- 2000 nickels searched
- 1 30s (1939 in very nice shape and almost a upgrade to the album)
- 7 40s (41 VF, 45P)
- 14 50s (50 hole filler; 54D, 56, 58 upgrades)
- 9 60s/70s/80s (nothing too special, just nice AU coins)
- No 2009 specimens
- 1 Foreign (Bahamas)
- 4 S mint
- 3 Variety/Error (1960 BAR)
- 2 Proofs (1961, 2004 S HS)

3 updates and 1 hole filled in the album and a few upgrades to my seconds/thirds folders. Really, this was a pretty productive box all around. With the quality of the keepers and the proofs, seems like somebody may have cashed in a small collection at the bank. Amazingly, there wasn't a 1913 V as I hoped, but there's always next week - right?

Happy hunting folks!!

Indeed - many folks finding coins to fill a need. Honestly, I was stuck on 3 for a few months before finding the 42D last week and the 50 this week. Hopefully it won't be months before I find the 39D. Given two proofs and a few nice AU coins and high grade circulated specimens in this box, I thought more than once that I should go get another box. But I might be a tad greedy!

Weekend over, box done.

39 x2 and about 10 other keepers pre 64
45P and 45S Wars
03, 99 Canadian
partial step nice AU 57 and 59
Had to edit because I almost forgot the fun find of the box
... 1989S Proof. Quite circulated but still fun to find proof.

Grats to everyone else on some nice finds. I want one of those 50d that seem to be floating around.

Edit again. I set this one aside and nearly put it in a tube with the other 51's so I forgot it too.

Lots of great finds guys! Especially those 1950d's. With a mintage 2.5 million, it's the rarest Jefferson nickel.
