Gustav Adolf Konig Von Schweden Medal?

dw171 Valued Member United States 69 Posts	Posted 12/16/2015 01:25 am This came with a collection of WW1 and WW2 German coins and items. I've talked to a few coin dealers and the consensus was this is a medal, but that was it. No one had seen one or anything similar to it. The inscriptions read "Gustav Adolf Konig von Schweden" and on the reverse "Zur Erinnerung an die Confirmation Magistrat Lutzen". It measures about 33-34 mm diameter. Searching the text hasn't produced anything. It has the German silver hallmarks making it post 1886, but no other marks to indicate the maker. The only thing close I've seen is http://www.ebay.ie/itm/GUSTAV-II-AD...261268970978 Based on that link, I think it might be 1887. Yes it has been cleaned and has a large rim dent.
