Okay, I think I have this down with recognizing lamination errors. Can you please confirm that these coins have that error and of course let me know if I have any of them wrong.

I thought the same but I think he is referring to the lamination error going through the U and N of UNITED as opposed to the scratches that are present.

Yes, I think the scratches took over the image for that one.

I have uploaded a closer up image of the lamination error area in question.
