Hey, am new to coin collecting and this page so please forgive me anything I've yet to learn. LOL.
I found this penny a couple of months ago on the sidewalk by a parking meter and now I'm constantly looking at all coins. Anyway I have tried researching but have been unable to find what I have. Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

The doubling you are seeing is commonly referred to as MD, a type of machine damage. If you visit Wexler's site, he has a detailed write-up on worthless doubling. Also, check out Coppercoins for an expansive listing of doubling: doubled dies and RPMs.

Tons to read, but lots of fun learning. Welcome to the forums!

Here's a link to Coppercoins. I took a quick look as your coin may be an RPM. There are several pages of RPMs to look at. Good luck!!

to CCF. It is a 1960-D LD with MD. It is a cent not a penny and it is worth one cent. Hope you stay around,I am sure you will like our great site and will learn a few things...enjoy.
