I was lucky to buy last week a coin of Louis the Pious (814-840). on the obv the legend + HLODOWICUS IMP and on the rev the legend : + +PISTANAPELIGIO (christiana religio : christian religian , inscription wich give him the surname of Pious),18 mm ,0.91 gr , 12 h , obole , ref Prou992 and 993.albert

Not sure if its the photos but it looks bronze? Never seen this type in bronze.

the bronze colour is indeed because the bad photos.These are better.albert
