The album looks like it is in good shape.
Sounds like it was a good price.

Now the fun part is filling those empty holes.

I agree.

Stick with it. I think it will be okay.

Sorry if I am intruding here, but what about capital coin holders? I put together a decent 20th Century type set about 9 years ago and put the coins in a capital coin display case. I always assumed the coins were safe in it. Am I wrong?

Can someone post a picture of their completed or partially completed album just to see how it will look when more holes will be filled.

They are not the prettiest, but there is a link to my Dansco 7070 photos in my signature.

Something I have always wanted to do is have a complete type set on no-no site counterfeits. Since they use the same dies but with different dates, the diagnostic marks are usually universal.

I have used the LCA14 Littleton Type album, which appears to be the one you have. I liked it, and it did its job of protecting and displaying my coins quite well. Having said that, I do not like the binder clips, it makes the album bulky, and turning pages difficult. I have been looking for a Dansco 7070 to match the rest of my albums. I recently found one on ebay for $13, I bought it immediately.
I would say that the Littleton Album is perfectly fine, and I wouldn't waste $70+ on the Dansco Album which is just slightly better in my opinion. If you can find a good deal however, I would pick it up.
