I posted a picture of the reverse (English side) of this here once before. It is a coin I found in my house when fixing a ceiling and it fell from behind the plaster and lathe. I never posted the Obverse (French side). It is very worn down and I just assumed it was a case of the side being worn because the person hated the French and wanted to rub it off, or loving the French and rubbed it for good luck, or some such thing. the English side is in pretty good shape. But as I have been observing the error and variety forums here I started wondering if it is a strike through or a die cap type error. I am quite the newbie, so I don't know. I figured I could post the pics here and someone would tell me if it were wear or something else that accounts for the poor quality of the obverse. Thanks.
