Are you referring to the mark beside the Y?

I do not see any indication of a clash event.

Hey, Sorry for the delay in my response. We have company for the Holidays and things are in a bit of disarray. Here are some close ups. Wow, I can't believe how messed up the face is for this year. I was trying to find a Normal coin for reference but they are all a bit deformed in in face and neck. Thanks again for looking. Merry Christmas

The things you are pointing to look like gas bubbles to me. The long area behing the neck looks like a PMDgouge. On a clash that area would be longer and wider.

Merry Christmas Sandy. I think seal has the right diagnosis and consistent with the group including BJ, our resident expert. But keep looking and studying specimens. Things will become more obvious as you gain theory and experience. And continue to ask your questions here. There are plenty of folks, young and old, learning more about the hobby and will benefit from the threads you start.
I hope Santa brought you something nice!!

Merry Christmas to all. One thing to point out is that die clashes are more apt to occur in the field and near level field design elements. As a rule, die clashes are less apt to form in deeply recessed design elements, such as the bust of Lincoln. If you see die clash marks in deeply recessed areas, you will definitely see a very large amount of clash marks in the surrounding field areas.
Just keep in mind, voids do not create die clash marks. It is the field and the termination point of the field meeting that void area that you are seeing.

Thank you all for your help, I definitely need to read up more on the Die Clash website. There is just so much to learn and I get so frustrated that I can't seem to learn fast enough. I also get a lot of good information from the other members posts. Rackster as always thanks for your encouragement - use newbies really appreciate it (and need it).
Mom is here this week to share Christmas with us - so just having my family is the best present ever.
Have a wonderful Christmas all.
