Over Christmas RCM issues some nice coins, but I do not see them as more than a gift idea. Does anyone collect them? Once Christmas passes, do they drop in value?

They are normally duds, due to limited appeal

Agree with John100.
I've never seen any appreciation with any Xmas themed coins.

Following the assumption, that majority of people collect only the coins, which will hold the value - no one collects the Holiday stuff.

As per gift - imagine you giving a gift CAD 100 priced coin to the non-collector. What he will do with this?
Put on the shelf and forget - the coin doesn't have numis and commemorative value. To display together with wooden elephants figures from India, small souvenir Pisa tower, tribal mask from Australia...may be.
