Any ideas on what something like this is worth, and sorry about the low quality photos, I'm new to taking pictures that close.

It doesn't seem to affect the "united" but it affect the word "dollar" forgot to photograph that.

Looks like MD no added value. What are you using to take coin pics with?

Thank you for clarifying that. I'm using a Samsung WB350F and a jewelers loop.

It looks like MDD (Machine Damage Doubling) to me. Note the right side of the M in AMERICA and the doubling on the O from OF in your photos...shelf like.

deathwaterkeg2,
When using your camera, are you setting it to macro (the little flower icon)? If so you shouldn't need a loupe. I use a point-n-shoot most of the time and once in awhile my scope.

When I use the macro mode, there's a big chance the camera will obstruct the light.

I use natural light. I put the coin on a windowsill and take the pic. You can also use a hand held LED flashlight, just make sure to turn off the camera's flash.

Hey John1,

You mentioned you use a scope. Is that over your phone by any chance or over your camera? If it over your phone, do you have the name of the scope or the link to a website?
