Hi everyone,
Found this coin in my change with an error, looks like it has been struck slightly up and to the left.
The dots on the queen side are non existent at top left and the words are flattened bottom left.
Is this fake or a genuine error?
If it is genuine what might it be worth, just face value or a little bit more?

As far as I'm aware this is pretty common, actually. The coin wasn't perfectly centered when stuck, but since no details are lost because of the uncentered strike it isn't very desirable by the collecting community. This is because it's such a tiny error and isn't very spectacular. Although this would be an error coin, I think it's within tolerance range (% off center) for The Royal Mint and thus isn't considered an error by the mint, making them release it to circulation.

Thank you X2an.
I might just keep it if there isn't much value, only coin I've ever had with an error.
Maybe I will get the collecting bug :)

We see this a lot with our Canadian toonies. I think I've kept a couple somewhere. Good eye.
