As promised, one of the items from
my last purchase of 2015.
The token appears to be copper (it is a brownish-red color). It is between 22 and 23 mm in diameter (i suspect 22.5 mm, but I did not measure precisely, and it seems to be a bit bent so a precise measurement might not be possible).
There's a somewhat rough hole through the middle, in the shape of a (rather fat) digit 2. I have no idea whether it belongs with the token as issued, but if it does it should be a rather unusual identifier. In one place (the lower left corner of the 2), it is connected to the outside by a thin jagged crack, but I suspect that this is due to the bad handling of the token rather than something that was there originally.
On both sides of the token, there is a rim (mostly cut off on the front side), just inside which is a dotted border.
The legend is on the front side only (the one from which the hole looks like a 2), in a circle that completely surrounds the hole (though it does touch some of the lower letters); the upper half says ALLG.O.K.K.BERLIN and the lower half says ZENTRALE I. (the halves of the legend are separated by five-pointed stars, and the dots are exactly where I put them - though the one in the lower half is a lot smaller).
I tried to find this legend online, and did not have any luck. I was not able to find any mentions of tokens with 2-shaped holes in them either.
Since the legend definitely mentions Berlin, I put that in the thread title. As far as I could tell, the "ALLG" part is a German abbreviation for something like "company". Of course "zentrale" means "central" (though central
what remains an open question). I have no idea what the other letters mean.
Oh, and no photos, sorry. You'd have to use your imagination. (If I do get my camera, I might post some photos later.)
It's not like there should be many tokens with 2-shaped holes in them, anyway

(and I did post the entire legend).
