Just wanted to share a little good news with members. Today I stopped by my local bank drive-up, and asked the teller if she had any of the new Kansas quarters. Her reply was, "Sure, How many rolls do you want? One, Two, 10, 20, 50?" Really! So, I checked out my finances and found about $40 in my truck. Now I have four rolls of the quarters, Denver mint, and those I looked through have been relatively nick-free. Most of the girls in the drive-up are former students, and they look out for my coin collecting interests.

Gary, I did the same thing today and the teller said "yes" and how many would I like? I said a couple would do just fine. She handed me two rolls of the new West Viginia quarters from Denver. Talk about surprised!

Surprising.
On Monday I plan to stop by the bank and see if I can get the West Virginia quarters as easily as I received the Kansas quarters.

I was too slow at the switch. I managed to get a bag ($25) Philadelphia from the U.S. Mint, but missed out on Denver. It's a beautiful coin.

On my recent trip to my home state of West Virgina on my last day I went to the bank. The teller would only give me 1/2 a roll! (P) But, I felt fortunate to get them. She said they wanted to make sure there were enough for all their customers! She sold me all the regular rolls of quarters that I wanted though (90 dollars), so now I can go thru them and pick out all my missing Philly quarters. (hopefully) Incidentally, rainy, dreary, and gray every single day, was thrilled to get back to Arizona! sunglasses needed

Thought this would be a good place to add this on. Went into my bank today and the teller handed me five rolls of "Ocean In View" nickels. She said, "I figured you might want these." Well, yes!

Hey Gary, super glue five of them togather and you will have a California quarter. Be the first one in your neighborhood to have one.

JonL17:
I just received your PM, and will mail you a quarter.
Will be leaving for Central American soon, so it might not happen until I return.
It's amazing how the Kansas quarters circulate here. A bunch of them in my pocket change every day.
Old Dan:
I tried the super glue idea, and it did impress the neighbors. Problem now is how to get that big dang quarter unstuck from my fingers.
Kid Collector:
Your coins should be in your mailbox any day now.
