1974 Nickel Dollar - Coin Community Forum

chequer Pillar of the Community Canada 4227 Posts	Posted 01/08/2016 09:17 am One of my LCSs asked me to check a few '74 nickel dollar for doubled dies. Around 4 or 5 were a doubled die, but I noticed three that had the same mark - perhaps a die scratch or crack. Has anyone else seen this mark while looking through dollars? It's the thin line on the last building going up about 45 degrees from the bottom. Report this Post to the Staff

chequer Pillar of the Community Canada 4227 Posts	Posted 01/09/2016 07:28 am That's what I suspected, but wanted to make sure since the LCS let me have them at face after I told them they weren't doubled dies. I like how coins struck from the same dies seem to come in together (same variety, same cracks, etc.) with these nickel dollars. Thanks Report this Post to the Staff
