I have a 1925 Stone Mountain coin that my mother purchased me many years ago. It was put in a 2x2 by the dealer and marked $30.00. I was looking up the values for my coins in the Red Book and I can't seem to find this one. The silver one is there but this one seems to be bronze.

Any ideas?

The 90% silver coin weighs ~12.5 grams, so a true bronze version should weigh notably less.

are you sure it's not just tarnish or toning on the coin?

Yeah, it's not toned. I have a 1922 Toned Peace dollar.. so I can say for 100% it's not toned.

I've attached two quick pictures (sorry for the flash).

Seriously? A coin can tone 100% evenly like that? I need to get a scale :/

If there's a local dealer you trust, I'd use their scale and weigh against a known silver coin.
A plated or bronze coin should be easy to tell with a decent scale.

Yep, I'm serious. Toned silver is one of my favorite things.

Interesting. Thanks for the info and pictures Becky. I've seen quite a bit of toning and have yet to see it tone evenly like that. Pretty neat.

A very nice example of my favorite commem. Congrats! I live in Stone Mountain and get there at least once a week for exercise and I still love it! If you ever feel the need to part with it, please post it on the forum and I snatch it up!
