The RCM case for $129 should be coming out according to my new rep. I had a great 40 minute chat. I learned about many changes going on at the mint under new president. I must say I like this new guy he's very helpful. I was hoping the $100 coin would fit for 1 oz slot.

@ John heres what my Rep said, many series have been dropped, like doing the cupro nickel companion to silver coins. He gave the example of not doing the last 2 Lost Ships coins, only the first coin had the silver plated companion. They are dropping the cupro nickel line. Its the reason the poplar Birds of Canada was stopped. They are coming out with new bird coins this year. Also another glass coin series. Yes they are cutting back to around 200 releases, with more emphasis on quality.
I was surprised they are killing the cupro nickel coins, those were the most affordable. Nice to know only 200 releases.
Also changes to shipping times. They expect to ship out within 5 days of the order being placed. This will be interesting. They plan to have Reps do videos of the new releases. He said they don't do photos, as the flash will drown out some features and not catch others. They are talking about bringing back the description on COAs. I sure hope so!! He said many changes are planned since the new president took over last year.
He was nice enough to figure out why I was sent coins I didn't order. He confirmed that 2 that were returned was credited back to me and when. We even talked about, ways I can collect that works with my budget. Also how to prevent coins arriving when I am absent. I am very impressed with this guy. He also said the regular case will be offered next release and the only change is the logo. The mint is very proud of these cases. I relayed how the lower mintages are a positive. He seemed to know a lot about the shopping channel. It seems the 2 oz GITD was created for that market. It seems the mint is very aware of the coin show.

I didn't see the case which sold for $110 US. There are three or four on ebay listed from a low of $50 up to a high of $249.00.

Yeah my rep was bubbling over with info. Where my previous gal didn't give any info, regarding up and coming releases. This guy seems very into his job. First time we've spoken, he got my file in June. I hope the mint does some good changes. The big one would be price adjustment, but from Jan releases I doubt this year. He also mentioned a new effigy is in planning for sometime this year. Thanks for the acknowledgement everyone.

Thanks to the members on the other forum. Yes, the additional box listed on ebay, for USD $99. Not surprisingly, people realized, that better sell now and for less, to get some money, rather than plan for hundreds $$ and wait till the market will be flooded with these (or similar) boxes. And the " RCM Logo" box is coming, should be the same (why to do them different?) , for CAD 129, which will be counted towards MC status.

Best thing getting the cases from the mint, no shipping fees for club members. Are the other cases going to be available to the regular public, or just to club members and still exclusive. Now if they would have a case for the X for X coins. I really need one!!

C_C there is still time to June 30. Access to these cases and a great Rep just may keep me in at the Silver level a little longer. You mentioned you like the $200 coin series, that's almost half way there. All you need is 6 $100 coins and you are there.
I am not sure if cases are just for MC, it sort of lists it as a benefit. Only time will tell. Only downside to case, is it attracts fingerprints. A letter accompanying it, says to use cotton gloves and be careful cleaning, as it does get scratched. Something I wouldn't of thought of. No cleaning with paper towel. My wooden furniture isn't so delicate.

Quote: I'm no longer a MC member. I guess I'm out of luck? You have a luck not spending $1000 directly at Mint. I believe second case will be available for all, but MC first in queue. In addition: page 3368 other forum: the member sells 2 cases for $240 + shipping.Just need to clarify is this CAD or USD, and both cases for 240 (which is good price), or each one (dream price).
