I have the below pictured item and can't find it anywhere to determine what it represents. I thought it might have been a commemorative coin but that doesn't appear likely due to its size, as its larger. I then thought it could possibly be a commemorative medal, but again unsure. There are no markings what soever on the edge/rim of it either. Anyone able to help me identify what it might be? Thanks!

Definitely a medal.
A commercial souvenir that was available to the public from the Atlanta Games.

Every country that had a team there produces souvenir medals for it and in the case of the city it is held in There could possibly be a hundred or more both genuine and bootleg, Non official ones. with out anything else on the medal it is a brass medal and probably only worth a couple of bucks

Excellent, thank you very much for the insight. That's what I had figured just wasn't sure as I didn't see any type of markings on it.

Yiou can google images for that Olympics, and then wade through them and if you see one click on the image and it will take you to the page it is from.

I was living in Atlanta in 1996--you couldn't walk down the street without tripping over some sort of commemorative medal. Literally every tourist shop had dozens or hundreds. I have a handful that I think came out of a cereal box. Unless it's silver, value is going to be $2-3 on a good day.
