The glow in the dark wolf coin is now sold out everywhere, including Canada Post. The first sell out of the year for RCM coins. Unlike the first coin, this one sold out pretty fast. So are flippers jumping back on the bandwagon again? The first coin was popular with collectors, flippers did not get a hold of it. Will we see a repeat of history with flippers driving down the value of the coin by flooding the market? Edited by MoneyPenney 01/13/2016 8:21 pm

Already two sold out 2016 coins, only two weeks into the new year. (Other is the 5oz painted caribou.)
I can hear echoes of the resounding applause that's coming from that boardroom table.

well.. it was available for the whole week so most if not all Mc members have plenty of time to pick them up. So there's no one to blame if this actually does well. I am still waiting for the first one to go up higher in value. I own two of those

For the last two or three years 2/3 of all the issues were sold out but still most had no resale value, nothing is different so far , this coin is commissioned.

Was the first coin, moonlight fireflies, also commissioned? If so, it is unusual for a commissioned coin to gain value. Most like the Bison and Eagle ones tank.

Just going by their 3q results....4th unknown, not published yet and I don't care enough to track but I'm not seeing 2/3rds recent sellouts.

Almost sure watching the last shopping show that he said the wolf was another one of his inventive ideas.

Yes, according to my rep Bromberg commissioned these coins. I ordered one yesterday morning. It's easy for it to sell out, since Bromberg has the bulk of coins. It's interesting the amount of views on the mint site, over a thousand in 1 day. Bromberg is selling the first coin for $289, yet at other dealers it isn't that high. It's a series of 3 coins according to my rep. The other thing to remember there is only 4k Mintage. I bet Bromberg got 3k of the coins. So others have token amounts. Younger generation of collectors probably like this type of coin. Not everyone is into traditional coins. The thing to hope for is,they don't over flood the market with GITD coins.

The power of the shopping network is like a min ebay, it moves a boat load of products, I believe you are allowed up to half the mintage, still a lot for one dealer, the 2/3 sellouts came from speaking to reps at the last RCNA slightly off in their percentages.

It will be nice to see what the coin looks like in hand. It's the main reason I watch the coin show. You get incredible views of the coins. His other pet project has increased in value the first set of big coins. Although I don't buy the value he has assigned to them of 1k on his sites.
It's weird it's showing as sold out on the CC&C site. Unless it's a marketing trick. It would be interesting to track the performance of Bromberg commissioned coins? Is there a trend, do they do well? It would be hard to believe, Steve would continue to commission coins that end up doing poorly. It would sack his reputation. I wonder how big the following is on the shopping channel is, with active buyers.

@ John, I don't get the role of a Rep, when the website is so incredible. I can see a Rep being beneficial prior to Internet selling. Calling and getting their opinion would be beneficial. Only thing with the Coin Show, there's only 1 seller, so I don't grasp the ebay analogy ? I wonder what the American counterpart is like? What is talisman doing for pricing?

He commissioned the lost ship coins for sure and it's being discontinued. The last few shows there is NCLT blockbusters of various years coins a sure tell tale sign a change in the market place, he is a master salesman. ebay is by far the largest market place and in Canada the Shopping show is probably the largest market place.

@pocketchange.... I am in the US and bought the Moonlight Fireflies coin from Talisman so I am on their email list. I got an email a few days back and this coin was listed at $129.99 USD. Sounds like if I am going to buy one I better do it sooner rather than later. Good to hear there are only going to be 3 in this series. I usually don't spend that much on a coin but I like to pick up the rest of a series once I start one. I really liked the first one and this one looks awesome as well.

Strangest thing, this wolf coin is missing for me from the shopping channel, it was there last night. Is something wrong with my computer. I doubt it that 4k coins have dried up all of a sudden! Middle of last night most places had them. Something is fishy on this coin.
How do retailers know when something is hot prior to release, so they can raise prices. Even the mint seems to predict a hot coin and sets limits. Just wondering how its done.
@ Confusion great score, the more I watch the video for the firefly, its growing on me. However, not as much as the wolves, scene is captivating. How do you like the glow function. Does it add anything to the coin.
