Taking a break from cents for a few days. On my second brick of nickels. I really like how the devices are bigger and easier to see. I have yet to find anything really worth posting, but I have made one observation. That is that nickels seem to be more prone than cents to Machine Doubling. Here is an example I found earlier this evening.
Not sure. I am just now really working with nickels. I have spent the last 4 decades concentrating on cents. I still find new things to learn with cents. I got a whole lot to learn about nickels.
I mostly search nickels, and I agree that the Machine Doubling is common. Those are annoying when they "appear" raised and then you have to magnify to make sure it's not class II doubling.
It is interesting seal. You often find MD nickels for sale on ebay. Chips and cracks too. Folks are finding these occurrences interesting enough to buy.
