I came across this 1968 dollar and was wondering if it's one of the coins they're referring to in the Charlton Cat.. This one has the double horizon lines and doubled "68" in the date plus more throughout the reverse legend. Anyone have any knowledge of these? I guessing it's just Machine Doubling anyone know for sure?
I think that one is machine doubled Bill, in the 67th Charlton Catolgue, that would be the CH# 1968 Rev-005. The extra waterlines (punch or hub doubling) variety actually has more separation between them, and tends to be quite scarce. Unfortunately dealers (online and coin show circuits) and even ICCS have called this Machine Doubling variant "Extra Waterlines".
