Hmm am I wrong? Is this a small date 1970s?
Also any idea what's up with the 7 and 0?

It's a 1970-S Large Date.

The bottom of the 7 is clearly below the bottom of the Zero.

There are all sorts of ways to try to figure out if it's a large or small date, but IMHO the easiest way is just turn the coin up-side down and look at the bottom of the 7 with relation to the bottom of the zero.

If the 7 & 0 are the same length it's a small date, if the bottom of the 7 is below the zero, it's the large date .

I also do not see any indication of it being a doubled die.

Thank you.... I can't get the hang of figuring that one out.
Any suggestions as to what's happening with the 7? Or is
do you feel maybe die deteration?

Small push or hit at right top of 7 is PMD.
