In my opinion, ANACS is preferable to ICG for most coins. I find ANACS' grading to be very accurate and within 1-2 points of my own grading. I feel that ICG, overall, grades more liberally. However, when it comes to ancient coins, ICG is the authority and I would always submit ancients to them. They are also very reliable for authentication.
I believe that you will see ANACS pushing into the #2 spot soon. I think that NGC is moving down. I don't know that ICG will make it into the top 3 although they do have the nicest slabs out there in my opinion.
