Hello everyone, I am new here and I don't have much knowledge about coins and such.

When I was born in 1991 my grandma gave me a coin, it is a 1991 commemorative coin.

I know it probably wont be worth much yet, but I was wondering how rare is it and if possible how much is it worth. I don't wish to sell it but I am interested to know.

I have been looking around online for one that is the same but I can't find one. I found a similar one but it doesn't have the Union Jack on it like mine.

I have attached some photos for you to see.

Thank you :)
So I hope someone can inform me about it.

It's a souvenir medal or token most likely. Notice how it has no country name stamped on it or denomination. Also if it was British it would have the queen on the obverse

I suggest that it is British. In the second picture, the field at the top half resembles the Union Flag. In the first picture, the design of the eagle matches the RAF eagle used on badges, and the anchor/swords/eagle device is used by the UK to represent combined arms, ( army/navy/air force ).

It does not look to me as if it is official issue, more likely a private issue. I cannot evidence that - just my gut feeling from the appearance of the design.

I'm sorry didn't mean it wasn't British in origin just that it's not legal tender from The Royal Mint not having the queen. It would be highly unusual.
